Katrina Kaif and Priyanka Chopra were spotted on the sets of an Ajay Devgn film earlier this week. The rivals haven’t signed a film together with the actor but were simply visiting him on the sets of his Madhur Bhandarkar film Dil Toh Bachcha Hai Jee.

"Ajay appears to have become the most popular actor in Bollywood. The flurry of beauties thronging his shoots prove that. The ladies were at Yash Raj Studios on a private business but when they heard Ajay was shooting there, they dropped in to say ’hello’," said a source.

On Monday, Ajay’s Rajneeti co-star Katrina Kaif was seen on the set. She was at the studio to meet Aditya Chopra, but later dropped by the sets of Dil Toh Bachcha Hai Jee.

"But the biggest surprise was Priyanka Chopra. She and Ajay have shared cold vibes since Naam, their first film together fell through. Priyanka had walked out of the film after shooting for three days." He never forgave her for walking out of his film. Naam’s producer, Dinesh Patel is Ajay’s good friend and her walkout had created financial issues for the producer.

Priyanka’s arrival on Devgn’s sets came as a shock to everyone. The source adds, "She dropped in when Ajay, Emraan Hashmi, Madhur, Kumar Mangat and a few other people were sitting at the canteen and chatting during a break. While Kumarji (as he is known) treated her to coffee, the actress treated everyone to samosa chat, a canteen speciality. Everyone had it except Ajay (he’s on a diet)."

Apparently, she complimented Devgn on his performance in Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai. The actor reciprocated by talking about her work. She left soon after. Ajay’s Golmaal 3 heroine Kareena Kapoor returns to Mumbai this week. We won’t be surprised if she is the next actress to be spotted on AJ’s set. Katria Kaif was planning to spend her birthday with her family in London but then she had to postpone her birthday celebration as some of the scenes of the movie had been rescheduled and she went to Spain for shooting on July 15, 2010.

However, Katrina Kaif was not sad about all this. She thought it would be the best way to celebrate her birthday.

Zoya Akhtar was well aware about Katrina Kaif’s birthday and she arranged a big surprise for the actress. Katrina was shooting with Hrithik Roshan, Farhan Akhtar, and Abhay Deol in the crowded streets of Pamplona in Spain. At that time, the Encierro, or Running Of The Bulls festival, one of the biggest festivals in Spain was going on.

Suddenly, Zoya Akhtar shouted in the Dictaphone and the shooting halted and then Zoya Akhtar announced that it was Katrina Kaif’s birthday and told everyone to sing “Happy Birthday” to Katrina Kaif.

All of a sudden the 500 people at the streets of Pamplona, Indian, Spanish and other nationality sang Happy Birthday to her. Katrina Kaif became very emotional. According to her, it was the best birthday gift she ever had.

She took a break from her shooting in Spain from Zoya Akhtar’s Zindagi Milegi Na Dobaara to be with her family. But now the actress
has to return to shoot in Pampolona, Spain, for Zoya’s film on Thursday.

"Yes, I had planned well in advance to spend my birthday with my family in London. But some scenes for Zoya’s film have been rescheduled and I’ve to go back on Thursday, a day ahead of my birthday, to Spain. Never mind. I’ll be working on my birthday and that’s the best way to bring in my birthday," said Katrina.

Looking at the brighter side, Katrina said: "My two youngest sister Isabella and Sonia are coming back to Spain with me, so I have a part of my family with me. And I couldn’t hope to be with a better unit on my birthday. Zoya is one of the coolest directors I’ve worked with."

The actress is happy with the year gone by.

"I got to work with two women directors Zoya and Farah Khan this year. And they were both such fun to work with. I also had a big hit Raajneeti. I couldn’t have asked for more. In the coming year, I hope to find love. Every girl needs someone to share her life with," she said.

Katrina returns to India next month to face one of her biggest challenges as an actress. On Aug 11, she has to perform an item song with Akshay Kumar for Farah Khan’s Tees Maar Khan.

"It is like no other item song. It will have elements from both Indian and western dance forms. It will blend various styles and give me a chance to perform what could possibly be my most challenging on-screen dances. I can’t wait to return and start rehearsing for the number," she said.
